PIT is the online training platform used to deliver live classes, self-paced modules, attendance tracking and issuance of certificates. The platform supports formal teaching, professional upskilling and compliance training.
Access is granted to lecturers, tutors, researchers, students and other authorised users from participating institutions. Authentication is mainly handled through the IDEM/GARR federation (SAML2), which means you log in using the institutional credentials provided by your Home Institution / University. In exceptional cases, locally managed accounts may be created by platform administrators for restricted use.

When you log in via IDEM/GARR federation, your Home Institution’s Identity Provider (IdP) sends PIT a limited set of personal attributes (for example: given name, family name, institutional email address, and a unique identifier). This information is used solely to:
